Why Do A Workout For Stress Relief?
It’s so important to keep up our immune system and mood by breaking into a good sweat!
Working out pumps up the brain’s production of feel-good neurotransmitters called endorphins. Any aerobic activity, from HIIT to hiking, can produce this effect.
According to the Mayo Clinic, exercise mitigates the impacts of the body’s ‘fight or flight’ response, which rears its head when we’re under stress. Too much of this fight or flight response can have harmful impacts for the body.
Plus, fun music will also increase your endorphins which lowers your stress hormones and increases blood flow to the body for good health and healing.
HIIT is so beneficial in strengthening the heart and lungs and inducing a faster metabolism that can last for hours after you workout, which is great for fat control.
So give this video a try once or twice a week till you master it, working at your level of intensity and remembering fitness is a progression.
It is advised to not overwork the joints at our age by doing HIIT every day.
Good for you for understanding how powerful exercise and music is and taking charge of your health.
Remember, we have less intense cardio workouts available in the cardio section of our free fitness library if you’re looking for that, too.
ENJOY!
